Nativity BVM Catholic School
Nativity BVM Catholic School was founded in 1956 by the Irish Sisters of Mercy and is accredited through the Mississippi Department of Education and Cognia. We currently serve students from Pre-K2 through 6th grade.
Our school has a multitude of enrichment programs for our students: EXPLORE (grades 2 - 6) an enrichment program for the intellectually gifted, National Elementary Honor Society, Arts Alive drama club, robotics, choir, cantor academy, recorder ensemble, diocesan basketball teams, diocesan flag football teams, diocesan cheerleading squad, track team and Girl Scouts.
Of special note, our school has a certified special education department, led by Ms. Rachel DiMauro. Students who have a special education ruling are able to receive services from our certified teacher. This program is recognized as an Educable Child Program by the Mississippi Dept. of Education.
