One-Pot Taco Pasta

dumb and done meals

One pot6 ingredients30 min
Cheesy ground beef pasta in a pan

Why it's dumb & done

The pasta cooks right in the sauce, so it's one pot from start to finish and dinner is ready in about 30 minutes.

Why kids will like it

Two kid favorites in one bowl: tacos and cheesy pasta. Top with crushed tortilla chips for crunch.

The recipe

You'll need

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 jar (16 oz) salsa
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 8 oz small shell pasta, uncooked
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Do this

  1. Brown the beef in a large pot and drain the grease.
  2. Stir in taco seasoning, salsa, broth and the dry pasta. Bring to a boil.
  3. Cover, lower the heat, and simmer 12–15 minutes, stirring now and then, until the pasta is tender.
  4. Stir in the cheese until melted.
