Why it's dumb & done

No standing at the stove flipping pancakes one at a time. Everyone eats together, and it's all on one pan.

Why kids will like it

Kids can help decorate their section with sprinkles, chocolate chips or blueberries before it goes in the oven.

The recipe

You'll need

  • 2 cups pancake mix (the just-add-water kind)
  • 1.5 cups water (or as the box says)
  • Toppings: chocolate chips, blueberries or sprinkles
  • Butter or cooking spray, for the pan
  • Syrup, for serving

Do this

  1. Heat oven to 425°F and grease a sheet pan well.
  2. Whisk the pancake mix and water and pour onto the pan. Spread it evenly.
  3. Sprinkle on toppings.
  4. Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Cut into squares and serve with syrup.
