This Week’s GCM Cheat Sheet

Looking for something fun to do with the kids over the next couple of weeks? We've rounded up a handful of family-friendly events happening across the Mississippi Gulf Coast—from free museum nights and glow parties to baseball, seafood festivals, and one of the Coast's biggest Independence Day celebrations.

Whether you're looking for something to do this weekend or planning ahead, here are five events worth adding to your family calendar.

Free Friday Night at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center

Friday | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Lynn Meadows Discovery Center | Gulfport

One of our favorite free family events is back! Sponsored by Hancock Whitney and Mississippi Power, Free Friday Night gives families the opportunity to explore Lynn Meadows Discovery Center at no cost. Spend the evening climbing, creating, exploring, and enjoying one of the Coast's best children's museums without spending a dime.

It's the perfect way to kick off the weekend, especially if you've never visited or want to let the kids burn off some energy after a long week.

Glow Night at Sky Zone

Friday | 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Sky Zone | Biloxi

If your kids love to jump, Glow Night is always a hit. The lights go down, the music turns up, and Sky Zone transforms into a glowing trampoline party complete with lasers, black lights, and plenty of high-energy fun.

This event is especially popular with older kids, tweens, and teens looking for something fun to do on a Friday night.

Biloxi Shuckers Home Series

Tuesday, June 16 – Sunday, June 21
Keesler Federal Park | Biloxi

Nothing says summer quite like a night at the ballpark. The Biloxi Shuckers return home for a six-game series, making it easy to pick the night that works best for your family.

Game times include:

  • Tuesday, June 16: 6:35 PM

  • Wednesday, June 17: 6:35 PM

  • Thursday, June 18: 5:05 PM

  • Friday, June 19: 6:35 PM

  • Saturday, June 20: 6:05 PM

  • Sunday, June 21: 5:05 PM

Between the kid-friendly entertainment, ballpark food, and themed promotions throughout the week, a Shuckers game is one of our favorite ways to spend a summer evening on the Coast.

Pass Christian Blessing of the Fleet

Saturday, June 27 | Festival Begins at 10:00 AM
Pass Christian Harbor | Pass Christian

One of the Mississippi Gulf Coast's most beloved traditions returns with the annual Pass Christian Blessing of the Fleet. Families can spend the day enjoying fresh Gulf seafood, arts and crafts vendors, live music, children's activities, and the ceremonial blessing of the shrimp fleet.

It's a wonderful opportunity to experience a tradition that celebrates the Coast's rich maritime history while enjoying a fun day on the harbor.

Long Beach Fourth of July Jubilee

Saturday, June 27 | 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Downtown Long Beach

It's never too early to start planning your Fourth of July festivities! The Long Beach Fourth of July Jubilee is one of the Coast's largest Independence Day celebrations, featuring a full day of family fun.

Expect a patriotic parade, local vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, kids' activities, and an incredible fireworks show to end the evening. If your family enjoys celebrating the Fourth on the Coast, this is one event you'll definitely want on your calendar.
