Cate Purvis

Cate is a homeschooling mom of five. She recently launched The Christian Miscarriage Co. and published her first book ‘The Words I Could Not Say: Musings of a Miscarriage Mama’ which will be available June 1! But that's not all... She travels and speak at women’s events telling her story and encouraging women in God’s faithfulness.

Her and her husband, Will, have been married for 14 years, and have five kiddos - ages 2-19!

When asked what a day in the life of Cate Purvis looks like, she said it basically "consists of homeschooling, watching my kids chase and snuggle reluctant chickens, performing ballads as concerts my kids never asked for, and encouraging women through miscarriage grief. I spend 80% of my time in mom clothes at home with my kids, and one of the most important things I try to teach them is to listen to the Holy Spirit for the opportunity to be a helper when people need to be loved."

Her best advice for moms is “do less.”

"In a world that tells us we have to be boss babe, prepare every meal completely from scratch, be a size 2 our whole lives, and smile through it all, DO LESS of what the world expects and more of what feeds the souls of your family and yourself. For us, it has been me reducing the amount I work outside my house so I can pour more into my family. For others, it may look different. Nestle TollHouse cookies are just as good as scratch if scratch-made mess sucks the joy out of it. Snuggling and watching Bluey is the calm your toddler (and you!) may both need instead of washing the dishes, and date night on the couch with microwave popcorn is still date night if you can’t afford a babysitter." We couldn't have said it better ourselves!
