Tessy Lambert might as well have written the book on how to be a dynamite working mama! She is the mom of 15-year-old Laykin while leading the helm of her family’s 5 businesses - all of which are at the forefront of leisure and fun here on the Gulf Coast!

“Life for me is this wonderful blend of family moments and steering the marketing for my family’s local businesses. My day kicks off with a 4 am wakeup followed by a daily barre class—it’s quite the challenge, but there’s truly nothing like conquering a tough workout to get you geared up for the day.”

Tessy says that the rest of her day is a whirlwind of marketing meetings and cooking up fresh, exciting plans to keep their hotels and restaurants as the must-visit destinations on the Gulf Coast.

At home, Tessy focuses on making the most of her family’s time together. Her husband, Jed, and their almost 16-year-old daughter Laykin are her everything. She said that some of our happiest moments are when they get to watch Laykin perform with Biloxi’s Sound Surge Show Choir. “That girl is as talented as she is kind and I am so proud of her. On many evenings, you’ll find us breezing around the neighborhood in our golf cart, soaking up precious girl time while chatting about our day and everything in between.”

Her and her husband love spending time in the kitchen, cooking and catching up on their day. When she’s not managing their business ventures or spending time with her loved ones, Tessy said she’s either brushing up on her Italian or plotting their next travel escape — always chasing new adventures!

“We also have this sweet tradition for Valentine's—every morning from February 1st to the 14th, Jed and I sneak a note on Laykin's door, each filled with little affirmations or the ways she amazes us. The smiles we get in return? Absolutely worth it!”

Before finding her niche in marketing, she explained that she dabbled in cosmetology and real estate - opening up avenues for her creative expressions. Now what fills her cup is her ability to bring people together through hospitality initiatives. She also shared that staying active with the Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi Ocean Springs keeps her connected and fulfilled - She loves giving back to her community!

When asked what piece of advice she would give to all the mamas, she stated ⬇️

To all you incredible mamas out there, here's a piece of advice from my heart: Watching my only, Laykin, hit each new milestone, I'm vividly reminded that each of her firsts is a last for me too. It’s a sweet yet bittersweet feeling that has taught me the true value of presence. So, don’t stress about being perfect. Instead, cherish every laugh, every step, and every new discovery. Really be there, soaking it all in, because these moments pass all too quickly, and being fully present is what counts the most.
