The Gulf Coast Mom: Fall Fun Guide 2025 is brought to you by Pine Hills Nursery and their Fall Frenzy Event happening in October! Their nursery is beautiful and very family friendly! They host a FREE event called “Toddler Tuesday” on the first Tuesday of the month so make sure to check them out! Whether spending a Tuesday out with your kiddos or looking for the perfect plants and flowers, they’ve got you covered!

Our team works hard to update our guides and calendars with as many family friendly events as possible. Check back weekly as we add events and update as we find them!!

SEPTEMBER

Hancock County Fair

Ceramic Pumpkin Workshop at Ohr O’Keefe Museum of Art

    • Date: September 16, 6-8 PM

    • About: Join us for a fun and festive evening on the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum campus as we sculpt ceramic pumpkins.

Perfect for a beautiful handmade gift or decoration for your home. Come spend a few hours in our studio and create a spooky Pumpkin out of clay. No experience is needed, and students will be guided by our instructors through the process step by step. Your class fee includes all glazes, firing, and instruction.

After the workshop, we’ll handle the rest:

Matte White, Gloss white, Butterscotch or Burnt Orange glaze

Final firing

Your finished angel will be ready for pickup in about 2–3 weeks—just in time for the holidays! Level: Age 17+


Family Wheel Day at Ohr O’Keefe Museum of Art

    • About: Fun pottery wheel class for families! Bring your kids (age 8+) tweens & teens and spend two hours playing on our pottery wheels. Our instructors will help you create two pots to keep, and we’ll glaze and fire them for you. Beginners are welcome, no previous experience is necessary. Work is ready to pick up in about two weeks. Please wear clothes and shoes you can get dirty! Level: Ages 8 and up – parent or guardian must also register for class

Butterflies in the Pass Monarch Festival

    • Date: October 4, 10 AM - 1 PM

    • Location: War Memorial Park

    • About: Join us for Butterflies in the Pass Monarch Festival on October 4th from 10am-1pm in War Memorial Park in Pass Christian. This event will feature speakers, educational exhibits, hands on activities for all ages and a walking parade for anyone in butterfly regalia (including pets). The goal of the festival is to celebrate and educate our community about Monarch butterflies and other pollinators and what we can do to help them thrive. We are asking those attending to bring lawn chairs (if they are able). Butterfly theme costumes are encouraged! The weekly Pass Market will also take place during the festival and will have butterfly themed items for sale. If the weather is a problem, the event will be moved to the Pass Christian Library (located at 111 Hiern Avenue).     • About: Time for Wild Acres 8th annual Halloween Spooky Safari/ Family Movie night! 🎃 Grab the family, dress up in your best Halloween costumes, and come see what Wild Acres in McHenry, MS is all about. Home to some of the most incredible animals in Mississippi, Wild Acres invites you and your crew out to spend the evening exploring our beautiful facility. 2025 Witches Ride of Ocean Springs

Don't know about the Witches Ride? Well, do you love animals? Do you love a good time? Then this is the event for you! Join us on Saturday, October 25th for our 8th annual Witches Ride of Ocean Springs through Downtown Ocean Springs!

Witches and Warlocks over 18 are encouraged to register for the Witches Ride! They dress in their witchiest wardrobes (feel free to take inspiration from this year's theme!) and parade through the downtown streets of Ocean Springs on their broomcycles and on foot spreading good cheer and treats to all those tall and small lining the streets!

The public is invited to come line the streets and watch as the witches fly through! It's an amazing family-friendly event, full of laughs and smiles, and bring a bag for LOTS of treats!

*The Witches Ride of OS is a local 501c3 and all proceeds from this event will benefit local animal welfare agencies. Please visit our website for more information on The Witches Ride of OS and to see what we're all about!

Fall Foam Fest – Biloxi Town Green
