Morgan Bratzler

We are so happy to shine the Feature Friday spotlight on one of our amazing contributors and fellow mamas this week!

Meet Morgan Bratzler! ⬇️

Morgan was born in Bay St. Louis and has lived all along the coast since college.

“I went to school to be an X-ray tech and now work part time in my specialty , Mammography (breast cancer screenings ). I have a passion for women’s health and resources and have used that passion to volunteer at several organizations on the coast and now am employed part time with Gulf Coast Breastfeeding Center. It’s been a blessing getting to meet and learn from so many amazing women making beautiful changes happen for others on the gulf coast- including Gulf coast mom.

I welcomed my miracle baby boy last February after about two years of infertility and we are just so thankful for this beautifully hard task of parenting. We are so in awe everyday. When I’m not working, I’m at home with my baby boy and our three animals (call it a zoo if you will). I love cooking for my family and baking and hope to share my journey in the kitchen more to encourage others how easy it can be to cook and bake for themselves or their families.”

When we asked Morgan for a piece of advice to share with our gulf coast mamas, here is what she had to say:

“I have learned in my short time as a mom that expectations get me in trouble. I learned this first and foremost with sleep and nursing. When I would have expectations and they weren’t met, I would get so frustrated and feel like I or WE were failing. As soon as I let those expectations go and just lived in those real moments and continued with a contact nap, or nursed for the thousandth time that night- I was happier. I was calmer. I was at peace. I was doing my duty as a mom.

When my expectations weren’t met I felt I had failed to do what social media or someone said was right for us.

Knowing that our peace and happiness was the most important and releasing my need to control an outcome has made all the difference for me. “

We agree!! You are the best mama for your baby!!

Thank you for the chance to feature you, Morgan!
